Hesed House

Make An Impact

Hesed House is the second largest shelter in the State of Illinois, and is dedicated to providing shelter, food and clothes to homeless individuals and families. Beginning as a coalition of six Aurora, Illinois churches, Hesed House has grown with the help of 6,000 volunteers from 70 area churches to support almost 1,000 individuals each year. The staff, Principals, and Partners of Lauterbach and Amen, LLP pool together to provide clothing, food, and even furniture to families in need.

Additionally, Lauterbach & Amen, LLP annually adopts two local families in need, and supports them during the Holiday season. We provide essential items for everyday use and items from their holiday wish lists. We are proud to have supported numerous families throughout the DuPage County area throughout the years.

Our employees have helped the organization, Feed My Starving Children, by hand-packing rice, soy, dried vegetables and a nutritionally complete blend of vitamins and minerals into bags which are then shipped to the neediest children around the world.

Lauterbach & Amen, LLP employees donate their time and money to prepare home-cooked meals for families who are staying at the Ronald McDonald House in Winfield. Ronald McDonald House offers housing, meals, and a support system for families whose children are undergoing medical treatment at a local medical center.
